Disclosure

A review site's credibility rests entirely on how it is funded. Here is exactly how we make money and what we refuse.

Last updated July 1, 2026

What we do not accept

We do not accept payment from any vendor for placement, rank, inclusion in the directory, or coverage of any kind. No vendor can buy a review, expedite one, or prevent one.

We take no affiliate commission, referral fee, or revenue share on any vendor listed on this site. There are no tracked outbound links, and we receive nothing if you contract a vendor you found here.

We do not accept sponsored content, vendor-authored articles, or paid newsletter placements. No vendor has ever written or edited a word published under our name.

How we actually make money

Advisory engagements with buyers. Benefits teams, consultants, and health plans engage us to help run diligence, structure an RFP, or pressure-test a proposal. These clients are on the buy side, and they pay for our time.

Paid research subscriptions. Deeper vendor profiles, pricing benchmarks, and quarterly market updates are sold by subscription, again to buyers rather than vendors.

Neither revenue line gives anyone influence over a score, a rank, or a verdict. An advisory client cannot have a vendor's score changed, and we will tell a client plainly when our published view differs from what they were hoping to hear.

Vendor interactions

We request technical briefings from vendors and accept them at no charge, which is standard analyst practice. A briefing does not obligate coverage and does not influence scoring. Vendors that decline are reviewed from public sources, and we note the declination on the page.

We do not accept gifts, travel, event sponsorship, or hospitality from vendors beyond ordinary refreshments at a scheduled meeting.

Vendors receive their factual attributes before publication and may correct errors of fact. They do not see scores, verdicts, or rank before publication, and they have no ability to change them.

Conflicts

Nobody involved in scoring holds equity in any rated vendor. If that ever changes, the holding will be disclosed on every affected page and that reviewer will be recused.

Where an advisory client has a material relationship with a vendor we are reviewing, that relationship is disclosed on the review page.

Questions

If anything on this site looks like it was influenced by money, tell us. We would rather answer an uncomfortable question than have readers quietly assume the worst.
